New Polish expressway project planned

Work is commencing on the S3 expressway project in Poland. Costing €355 million, the expressway will connect Bolko with Kamienna Gora Polnoc. A consrtium headed by Porr will handle the work, which is due for completion in the second half of 2023. The project will be complex as it will included two building tunnels as well as 12 bridges and flyovers.

    Plans are underway for the Warsaw Ring Road project in Poland. Italian contractor Astaldi made the lowest offer for the project at €289.95 million. The work calls for a 4.6km section of the route to be constructed, including what will be Poland’s longest road tunnel once complete. There have been 10 bidders for the tender, being handled by the Polish road authority GDDKiA.     Construction work on the Kramertunnel in South Germany is to restart. The tunnel is needed to help reduce traffic delays in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the southern German state of Bavaria and with lies next to the border with Austria.     Work is due to commence in 2017 on the new Cavite-Laguna Expressway in the Philippines. This 47km route will run along the coast to the south of capital Manila, with its north eastern end lying close to the city’s international airport. The route connects Cavitex in Cavite's Kawit with the SLEx-Mamplasan Interchange in Laguna's Biñan.
