New bridge and road link for Cambodia

A new bridge and road connection will be constructed in Cambodia. The bridge will span the Tonle Sap River, and together with the road, this will improve transport connections between Kampong Chhang Province and Kampong Thom Province. A new bridge and road connection will be constructed in Cambodia. The bridge will span the Tonle Sap River, and together with the road, this will improve transport connections between Kampong Chhang Province and Kampong Thom Province. The work is expected to cost US$200 million in all, with the road measuring 57km-long and the 3.9km-long bridge crossing three branches of the Tonle Sap River.     The tender process is being planned for the Myanmar-Korea Friendship Bridge, which will connect Myanmar’s commercial centre Yangon to Dala Township. Over $137 million in loans have been pledged by the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund to develop the 1.87km long suspension bridge.
