Moscow’s three year road building plan

Plans are in hand in Moscow and the surrounding area for the construction of 135km of new roads. This road programme is expected to cost in the region of US$888.5 million to carry out. One of the key projects is for the construction of the Central Ring Road, which is due for completion in 2025. By 2035, the construction programme should have seen the completion of some 700km of roads.

The project is now expected to cost US$3.75 billion, with the route forming part of the highway connecting Western Europe with China.
