Moscow-Kazan highway schedule set

The construction schedule has been set for Russia’s Moscow to Kazan highway project. The project is now expected to cost US$3.75 billion, with the route forming part of the highway connecting Western Europe with China. The stretches connecting Moscow with Vladimir and Kanash with Kazan should be ready for traffic in late 2024. The stretches linking Vladimir with Murom and Murom with Arzamas are due for completion in 2025. The stretches from Arzamas to Kanash should be ready in 2027.

The construction schedule has been set for Russia’s Moscow to Kazan highway project. The project is now expected to cost US$3.75 billion, with the route forming part of the highway connecting Western Europe with China. The stretches connecting Moscow with Vladimir and Kanash with Kazan should be ready for traffic in late 2024. The stretches linking Vladimir with Murom and Murom with Arzamas are due for completion in 2025. The stretches from Arzamas to Kanash should be ready in 2027.

    A new 729km tolled highway link is being planned for Russia. The route will be constructed by the Russian roads company, Avtodor and construction should start in 2025.     Planning is underway for the highway connecting Moscow with Kazan, via Nizhny Novgorod. The tendering process will commence in 2020, with construction then expected to commence in either late 2020 or early 2021. A budget for the project has been set by Russia’s state-owned road company, Avtodor. The initial plans called for the highway covering the 742km between Moscow and Kazan to be complete by 2024. However, it now seems likely that the route, which passes Vladimir, Dzherzhinsk, Niznhy Novgorod and Chebo
