A new bridge being built in the Krasnodar Region is expected to be open to vehicle traffic at the end of 2018. Work on the bridge supports is being completed at present and work on the deck is now underway. The bridge will also carry rail traffic from the end of 2019.

Meanwhile in Novosibirsk, construction is commencing on a new bridge spanning the Ob River. This will be the fourth bridge spanning the river at Novosibirsk and the work will be carried out by the contractor 6119 Avtoban. The client for the project is the Siberian Concession Company and the work is expected to cost close to US$710 million. A local firm, 5872 Sibmost, will act as sub-contractor on the project. The bridge will measure 1.5km long and will feature three lanes in either direction.

Also spanning the Ob River in the Surgut Region, a 1.6km bridge carrying two lanes of traffic in either direction is now being planned. The structure will be erected in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area (KMAA) and should be ready for traffic by mid-2024. The project will cost some $744.5 million to carry out and also includes the construction of connecting roads. Financing has yet to be finalised although around 42% of the sum required will come from Russian Federal sources.
