Major highway project awarded in Mexico

Mexican construction firm Impulsora del Desarrollo y el Empleo en America Latina (Ideal) has won a major US$623.4 million contract to construct the Macrolibramiento de Guadalajara link in the country. This link is for a large-scale ring road in Mexico’s Guadalajara metropolitan zone.

    Mexico’s Federal Government has allocated close to US$1 billion for a programme of key infrastructure works. The plan includes 80 infrastructure works in the state of Michoacan. Key work carried out so far includes building 100km of rural roads as well as the Cuitzeo-Patzcuaro highway, which is close to completion.
