Kuwait bridge construction underway

Kuwait’s key construction contract, to build the Subbiya Bridge project, is proceeding on track. The project is now 73% complete. The contract is a major one for Kuwait as it involves the construction of the 36km long Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Causeway. The work is likely to meet it construction schedule in 2018. Kuwait’s key construction contract, to build the Subbiya Bridge project, is proceeding on track. The project is now 73% complete. The contract is a major one for Kuwait as it involves the construction of the 36km long Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Causeway. The work is likely to meet it construction schedule in 2018. The causeway project is also known as The Subbiya Bridge. The work is being handled by a consortium comprising local firm 6926 Combined Group Contracting Company, and South Korean company 5739 Hyundai Engineering. When the project is complete the US$3 billion causeway will cut the journey time between Kuwait City and Subbiya from 90 minutes at present to around 20 minutes.
