EC approves Slovakian highway project

The EC has given its approval for funding to construct the section of the D1 highway that will connect Hubova with Ivachnova. The EC will provide €169.2 million for the project. In all the 15.3km section of the highway will cost €227.26 million to construct, with the remainder being provided by the state budget. The construction is being carried out by a consortium combining Czech company OHL ZS and Slovak firm Vahostav SK. The work is now underway and the highway is expected to be open to traffic by June 2

The EC has given its approval for funding to construct the section of the D1 highway that will connect Hubova with Ivachnova. The EC will provide €169.2 million for the project. In all the 15.3km section of the highway will cost €227.26 million to construct, with the remainder being provided by the state budget. The construction is being carried out by a consortium combining Czech company OHL ZS and Slovak firm Vahostav SK. The work is now underway and the highway is expected to be open to traffic by June 2017.
