New bridges have been opened to traffic at a key junction in Dubai. The four bridges are located at the junction of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Dubai-Al Ain Road.

These feature two lanes in either direction and will help improve traffic flow. One of the new bridges now allows drivers to make U-turns if necessary.

The bridges were opened by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai, UAE.

This forms part of the Dubai-Al Ain Road Improvement Project. In all, the work is costing some US$544.6 million. Once complete, capacity will be doubled to 12,000 vehicles/hour.
