China’s US$3.85bn Ya'an-Kangding highway to be completed in 2017

The construction of China’s US$3.85 billion (CNY 23.59 billion) Ya'an-Kangding highway will be completed and put into operation during 2017. Meanwhile, the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report for the 133.97km highway project is said to have been completed.

    Fiat Industrial achieved a 6.2% rise in revenues and trading profit in excess of US$2.71 billion (€2bn) during 2012 – an increase of 23.3% over 2011. Revenues in 2012 totalled €25.8 billion, as continued robust growth for agricultural equipment is said to have more than compensated for weaker trading conditions in other businesses.   • New bridge and road projects underway for Chile

    Strong bids have been received for Chile’s Puente Industrial road bridge project, which will be built in Region VIII. Bidders included Spanish firm OHL as well as Besalco Concesiones-Concesiones Viarias Chile Tres and Sacyr Concesiones Chile. Work on the 2.5km bridge is expected to commence in 2014 and the project will cost some US$170 million to construct, with completion expected in 2017.
