RDS is offering accurate and versatile weighing systems for a range of machine applications
RSS2587 RDS Technology says it is pushing the boundaries of weighing technology with its advanced Loadmaster i range of on-board weighing scales. according to the firm the new range, designed for use on wheeled loaders, benefits from upgrades to the weighing algorithm for static and dynamic weighing modes. The Loadmaster 8000i has an integral SD card port for fast and efficient transfer of data between loader and weighbridge or office PC and allows pre-registered customer data to be uploaded directly to the instrument. RDS is also offering the trade-approved Loadmaster 9000i with European MID weights and Measures approval. Fitted to a wheeled loading shovel, this on-board unit gives the machine the performance of a mobile weighbridge that conforms to class Y(a) and Y(b) levels of accuracy.

The Loadmaster 9000i DMM features an extended data-handling module with the integral SD card port central to the system. Up to six separate reference fields for each truck loading cycle can be stored in a database for detailed record keeping. Details of each field can be uploaded to the instrument from the SD card or programmed onto the card directly through the instrument.

The card exports the weighing data into an Excel compatible file, ready for use with company invoice and record systems. Also benefitting from upgrades to weighing software is the new generation Loadlog 500+ for compact loaders and skid-steers. This instrument is cost-effective, easy to use and the new software developments allow for increased accuracy and consistency of bucket and total load results.

This compensates for the effect of external influences on the system, such as engine/lift speed.

Intercomp Weigh-In-Motion Scale Systems have been selected and installed for use in the lanes at the West Basin Container Terminal within the Port in Long Beach, California Intercomp said the systems should increase efficiency and overall terminal, in-gate velocity in the flow of trucks through the security entrance. Prior to the installation of Intercomp’s LS-WIM In-Ground Weigh-In-Motion Scales, older static truck scales had been used. These required drivers to stop on the scales to manually receive

The system increases facility efficiency by accurately weighing vehicles travelling up to 15km/h. Coupled with the 4.14m-wide weighbridge, nearly any vehicle, including those with a wide load or trailer, can be quickly screened. Intercomp says its weigh-in-motion LS630-WIM system is ideal for high traffic volumes at temporary facilities to monitor axle weight or GVW (gross vehicle weight) compliance. Additionally, the portable system can be used at multiple locations as two people can deploy or stow the s
