Equipment from Vögele and Hamm has been used to build a carriageway with reduced-temperature asphalt in Germany. The equipment was required for paving a road tunnel in Kahrlsruhe. Tough conditions were applied to paving in the road tunnel under the Kriegsstrasse road.
The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Broward County, Florida, was suffering departure delays on every single flight. The existing 9R-27L runway was too short at 1615m in length, affecting capacity at the airport. To deal with the issue, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners created a plan to extend the southern runway to 2438m to accommodate larger commercial aircraft.

Caterpillar pavers were used recently to help improve drainage on a vital road into a popular tourist destination in Portugal. The Avenida Marginal is the main road access into Cascais, a village with historic hotels, winding roads and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean attracting thousands of holidaymakers each year. However, the highway had been suffering from poor draining resulting in rivulets being formed in heavy rain, making travelling hazardous for cars and pedestrians alike.
The hydraulically operated LaneBlade is mounted on the front of service vehicles meaning rescue personnel are safe from dangerously venturing onto live lanes or having to ‘look-and-leap’ for gaps in traffic.
