Volvo CE says that lowering fuel consumption will tackle fleet costs and deliver environmental benefits for its customers, Mike Woof reports. Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is targeting fuel economy and performance with its latest generation of machines. The new L180F and L220F wheeled loader models are being fitted with the sophisticated OptiShift package, which will boost operation and driveline efficiencies and cut fuel consumption by 15%, and more in some instances.
The first cable-stayed bridge in Nigeria will link two districts of the megacity of Lagos Nigeria’s first cable-stayed bridge, the Lekki Ikoyi Bridge in the megacity of Lagos is scheduled for completion at the end of 2012. Its striking 90m high pylon characterises the appearance of the 1,357m long bridge, which will connect two districts of the West African city, Lekki on the Lekki Peninsula and Ikoyi on Lagos Island.

The basic engine designs are the F36, N45, N67 and V20 models, with capacities of 3.6litres, 4.5litres, 6.7litres and 20 litres respectively. The F36 replaces the earlier 3.4litre
