CMI Roadbuilding has taken the wraps off a second Roto-Mill cold planer at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG show. The RM-6 joins the larger RM-7 launched last year, offering much of the performance of the bigger machine but with more compact dimensions. Powered by a Tier 4 Final Cummins QSX15 diesel engine, delivering 466kW, the RM-6 has a hydrostatic drive system with variable speed ground motors.
The use of new technology has helped pave the way for a new US racetrack Saving construction costs and meeting tight tolerances, sophisticated technology has helped deliver a quality racetrack surface within tight time constraints. The National Corvette Museum (NCM) in Bowling Green, Kentucky, lies close to Interstate 65 and now features a brand new racetrack, constructed with the assistance of the latest machine control technologies.
The Trimble Earthworks system now allows excavator operators using tiltrotators to use automatic machine control, which can help to boost productivity.
When tiltrotators are used with Trimble Earthworks for Excavators, the bucket position and orientation are visible regardless of bucket rotation. The operator can see the height and the rotation relative to the design, so the attachment can be more efficient. With this latest development, Trimble Earthworks can automate the tilt functions of a tiltrotator.
Trimble has introduced the Trimble DPS900 Drilling and Piling System, a new machine control solution for drilling and piling contractors.
Part of the Trimble Connected Site portfolio, the new DPS900 system enables contractors to perform drilling and piling operations quickly, safely and accurately.
The new system can also help promote jobsite safety by minimising the need for stakes, construction surveying and personnel near the machine during drilling operations. The DPS900 system gives contractors
