Caterpillar Paving is now rolling out its F Series paver range. These models offer increased performance and capabilities, delivering higher paving quality.
Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology looked at how much fuel – and, hence carbon – could be saved by making roads in the US stiffer. They concluded that by resurfacing 10% of roads every year for the next 50 years, 0.5% of total transport emissions, or 440 megatons, would be saved over that period.

Dynapac is now offering an electric asphalt paver with zero emissions aimed at use in urban applications. The firm’s eCity Paver SD1800W e is part of the Z.ERA programme and benefits from recent developments the new generation of electric batteries. The SD1800W e has a new electric drive that comes with an efficient 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), providing 55kW to the hydraulic system for the screed and undercarriage.
