Auction firm Ritchie Bros has scored a strong sales performance after a series of three heavy equipment auctions in Edmonton, Canada. In all, the firm sold over C$300 million worth of equipment, with this latest auction held recently accounting for C$104 million of machines. The company sold over 5,350 items of heavy equipment to customers from all over the world with the units for sale coming from 863 different sellers and strong prices being achieved. US-based dumpbody specialist Philippi-Hagenbuch has been awarded a European patent for its innovative rear-eject dumpbodies. The award was made by the European Union to LeRoy G Hagenbuch, chief engineer and co-founder of Philippi-Hagenbuch. The patent covers the construction and components on the company’s line of rear eject truck bodies. The PHIL rear eject bodies are also patented in the US and Australia and since the firm was founded in 1969, it has earned more than 100 patents for innovations and design
China’s Techking Tires introduced new crane and articulated dump truck tyres to its catalogue of off-road radial products. The ETCRANE range is the result of a seven-year research and development programme and features closed shoulder and multistep groove design to avoid irregular wear and stone ejection on off-road and highway applications. ECE approved size options include 385/95 R25 and 445/95 R25. The tyres are approved by crane manufacturers, such as Terex, Sany and Zoomlion, and are already in service
