The UK’s largest mechanical puppet, the 11m-tall Man Engine, will make a special appearance at this year’s Hillhead construction equipment exhibition. The transport ministers of Austria, Hungary and Slovenia have signed an agreement to cooperate on the development of autonomous vehicles and e-mobility. UK contractor Ringway provides protection for autonomous vehicles

Ringway, a Eurovia company in the UK, has taken part in a self-driving vehicle test on public roads in the English city of Milton Keynes. For the three-day test, two Ringway trucks provided a rolling roadblock behind an autonomous Jaguar Land Rover passenger vehicle. The trucks were there to ensure other highways users were safe and not inconvenienced by the tests, according to Ringway. Ringway also supplied two supervisors and two traffic management vehicles.
Mexico’s Puebla State has road plan under development

SBI International Holdings will carry out US$93 million of road construction works in Guatemala. The works will be for the upgrading of four sections of road in Alta Verapaz and Quiche that measure just over 144km. Tanzania projects funding from Kuwait

Funding has been secured from Kuwait for a series of major infrastructure projects in Tanzania. One of the main projects will be for a series of road upgrades in the city of Dodoma. Another project will be for improvements to the 257km road connecting Morogoro with Dodoma. The US$207.3 million loan has been made available to the Tanzanian Government via the Arab Economic Development Fund. Kuwait has provided financing for earlier infrastructure projects in Tanzania also.
Cambodia-Thailand connection construction commences

Construction is now underway for the project to build Cambodia's National Road No 5. Costing in the order of US$185 million, the project also includes building two city bypasses.
