Breedon Group, a major independent construction materials group in the UK, has purchased new Doosan DL550-5 and DL450-5 wheeled loaders for two of the company’s operations in Scotland. The DL550-5 unit is operating at Edzell Quarry near Brechin and the DL450 is working at Tom’s Forest Quarry in Kintore. Instarmac’s Latvian partner, Delta Urban, has supplied reinstatement materials to assist with the rehabilitation of a number of roads and pavements throughout the centre of Riga. The project has been partly funded by the European Union and required hundreds of gullies and manholes to be repaired on some of Riga’s busiest roads. Delta Urban supplied the chosen contractors, Roakdeks and Parvalde, with UltraCrete M60 rapid strength bedding mortar and QC10 F rapid set flowable concrete for the repairs.
