Mecalac launches the new eMWR electric excavator plus new eS900 telehandler

Mecalac has reinforced its position in sustainable construction with the launch of a new electric excavator model.

The new eMWR wheeled excavator is joined by another new electric model, the eS900tele telescopic loader.

These latest models mean than Mecalac now has two excavators, two swing loaders, and a site dumper in its emissions-free electric portfolio.  

The compact machines can handle all critical urban earthmoving tasks - digging, loading, and hauling - on a practical scale.

Novel paver screed design from Sumitomo as company plans global expansion

Sumitomo is aiming to boost its share of the global market for asphalt pavers. The company is market leader in Japan and plans to develop sales around the globe, according to president & CEO, Isamu Mitsuhashi and regional manager road machinery, Weichao Shi.  

The company has undergone an organisational change to expand its presence in the global paver business. At the moment the firm is only exporting its HA60 model to Europe but believes this model offers performance benefits over competing machines.

It offers extended compatibility with Manitou’s MT range of telehandlers and the ME lift electric range of forklifts by guaranteeing a big 60% recharge of the battery in less than one hour.

Case makes an “Impact” with its new wheeled loader concept full of future technology

Case has developed a concept wheeled loader to showcase new and developing technologies. The “Impact” is fully electric and features Case’s semi-autonomous “click & dig” system, but the most notable thing about the machine it its silhouette - it has no cab. It has been designed for remote operation.

“We can imagine in the future that we can drive the machine fully automatically from a kind of site control lounge,” explained Fabrizio Cepollina, head of construction for EMEA Case. “It could be interesting for dangerous areas such as demolition.”
