Leica Geosystems has launched v3.0 of its Leica PaveSmart 3D system, which is designed specifically for concrete and asphalt paving and milling applications. This upgraded package is now said to support a wider range of paving equipment and applications than before. PaveSmart 3D v3.0 will be available late March 2012 through Leica Geosystems’ direct sales and approved paving solution distribution channels, including GOMACO.

Austrian contractor STRABAG is now commencing construction work on a new bus transport system in Tanzania. The €134 million contract will improve connections in capital Dar es Salaam. The new Bus Rapid Transit Infrastructure project will see upgrades to three major routes in the city. The deal is being split into two. Serbia has managed to reduce the cost of building the Corridor 10 highway by €80 million. These funds will instead be used to pay for upgrades and improvements needed for the second section of the highway project, close to Neradovci.
