A new RG Series grab will also be unveiled for excavators from 2tonnes to 60tonnes. The BH32, BH40 and BH52 backhoe hammers will be marketed under the Robi brand and the key features are high oil flows for high impact frequency, greater productivity levels and more penetration effort; constant blow energy to ensure constant strength; and low fuel consumption rates. Mini excavator specialist Kubota has developed a new 8tonne KX080-4, which will be on show and CE certified at Bauma. With a tier 4 engine and a completely new cab design, the KX080-4 will join the company’s existing KX-4 series of compact excavators and be at the top end of Kubota’s weight class. There will also be two short tail-swing models on view, the U48-4 and the U55-4 weighing in at 4.7tonnes and 5.4tonnes respectively.
