By this spring, Bomag’s new BM 2200/75 cold planer will have removed all the old pavement from a 2.6km section of Germany’s federal highway B-85. Work on the section between Amberg and Pittersberg started at the end of 2016 after the Ministry of Transport classified the road as being in “urgent need” of upgrading as part of the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan. Europe’s first Hyundai R1200-9 excavator debuts in Luxembourg

Démolition et terrassement XL Sàrl from Nidderkuer, Luxembourg, has been using the largest capacity Hyundai excavator, the R1200-9, in Luxembourg City centre. The R1200-9, which has an operating weight of 120tonnes, started in March in the city’s financial heart on the site of the soon-to-be Bank of China complex. The huge excavator is breaking reinforced concrete foundations with a 7tonne hydraulic breaker. The first task to complete is a 35m-deep, 6-storey underground parking area.
