1651 Wacker Neuson’s big draw at Conexpo-CON/AGG 2014 is the unveiling of its new skid steer loader series, designed specifically for the needs of the North American market. Four models, the SW 24 and SW 28 on wheels and ST 35 and ST 45 on tracks, will be available at the German company’s North American and Canadian dealer network from mid-2014 onwards.

The new SW 24 and SW 28 skid steer loaders have payloads of around 1.1tonnes and 1.3tonnes respectively, while the ST 35 and ST 45 compact track loaders boast 1.6tonnes and 2.05tonnes payloads.

Wacker Neuson said contractor and machine user feedback was taken into account in the development of the new skid steer loaders. "With the introduction of the skid steer loader series, we complete our portfolio of compact machines in North America. This makes us even more attractive to many dealers and we can now provide customers with high-quality and high-performance compact machines, all under one roof," said Cem Peksaglam, CEO of Wacker Neuson.

Since 2013, Wacker Neuson has labelled particularly efficient and environmentally friendly products with its own Eco label - ECO for ECOlogy and ECOnomy. This theme will also be highlighted at Conexpo. "By introducing the ECO seal, Wacker Neuson wants to draw attention to products and solutions that demonstrate how excellently the two requirements can be matched and how they yield a real benefit to the customer," explained Peksaglam. Wacker Neuson awards its own Eco label to product solutions and innovations that are particularly low in emissions and are economically viable. This includes the new dual power option for the mini-excavator 803.

The external electro-hydraulic drive unit HPU8 can be connected - in addition to the standard diesel engine - to the Wacker Neuson excavator 803 dual power. The unit allows the excavator to be operated purely electrically and completely emission-free. With the 803 dual power, contractors have a machine with the features of a conventional diesel excavator, which simultaneously can switch to emission-free operations. This keeps costs low, ensures higher machine utilisation and extends the application range of the mini-excavator. Other new products from the compact machine series are the 10tonne mobile excavator EW100, as well as the AWS550 wheeled loader (all-wheel drive) with a shovel capacity of 0.55m³ and the WL 36 (articulated) with an operating weight of 3.6tonnes and a shovel capacity of 0.6m³. In addition, Wacker Neuson is unveiling at Conexpo-CON/AGG the compact excavator ET20 VDS with an operating weight of 2tonnes, and the Zero Tail excavator EZ17 without tail overhang and with a 1.7tonne operating weight.
Wacker Neuson is also giving a US debut at Conexpo-CON/AGG to its Compatec compaction control for the reversible vibratory plate DPU 6555.

Compatec indicates to the operator on an illuminated display with eight LEDs which level of relative compaction has been reached. When the number of illuminated LEDs no longer increases, then no further compaction can be achieved with the unit in use. Particularly for less experienced operators, Compatec is a good orientation guide that saves valuable working time and also protects the machine against overload. In the area of construction engineering, Wacker Neuson has further diversified its range of heating products. The firm now offers a wide range of heating solutions for use at low temperatures, creating an enhanced working environment and more operational versatility.%$Linker: 2 Asset <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 2 46073 0 oLinkExternal www.wackerneuson.com Wacker Neuson website false /EasySiteWeb/GatewayLink.aspx?alId=46073 false false%>
