Volvo CE is commencing operations of its low emission quarrying operation in Sweden. The facility has a strong focus on electric machines, with diesel-electric hybrid equipment also being used. Cummins presented its next generation of ultra-clean diesel engines to a US audience at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.
The range has been designed to meet EU Stage V emissions regulations, and while such regulations do not directly affect north American customers, Cummins will seek EPA certification to Tier 4 Final standards to enable its engines to offer distinct advantages to north American manufacturers.
