SONO Hub for water-content ratio control

April 8, 2025 Read time: 1 min
The SONO Hub from Vemaventuri is now available in Europe

Vemaventuri has launched SONO Hub, a handheld device for its SONO solution for water- content determination of fresh concrete.

SONO Hub allows for on-device W/C-value calculation, local and direct cloud data storage and analysis via smartphone connectivity.

The SONO Hub’s instant water-content ratio measurement and cloud integration redefine efficiency, ensuring compliance and longevity in every pour, said Aaron Lucid, concrete expert and channel manager at Vemaventuri, part of the Peri Group.

The SONO Hub, equipped with IMKO's measurement probe, quickly measures the water-cement ratio in minutes, unlike traditional methods such as the Darr test.

This ensures high concrete quality by allowing decision-makers to respond to undesired measurements and so reduce the risk of cracks and spalling through accurate water-content control.

It also simplifies quality control both on-site and in labs, making the process more efficient and reliable.

Ultimately, using the SONO Hub helps extend the lifespan of concrete structures and thus contributes to sustainability.

PERI subsidiary Vemaventuri says that sensor solutions can positively influence the construction process. Sensors are used to facilitate decision-making on the construction site and save resources.

Sensors can communicate the pressure exerted on the formwork during concreting as well as temperatures for determining the degree of concrete maturity to determining the water content in fresh concrete. Vemaventuri’s numerous types of sensors when combined with PERI systems offers added value.
