Power comes from a Tier 3/Stage IIIA diesel delivering 104kW and the machine is aimed at customers in developing markets such as the Middle East and Africa. Performance is said to be improved over the previous generation while the machine also has an upgraded cab with better controls and all round visibility.

JCB is updating four of its wheeled loading shovels, introducing DNA from the range-topping 457 that was launched last year.
