The work on the construction of the next stretch of the A100 motorway in Berlin, Germany, is about to start. The project is expected to cost €473 million (US$616.72mn) and be completed by 2020.
The project to construct Bosnia’s Corridor Vc highway is on track, with completion scheduled for 2020. So far some 6km of the highway has been built, which includes a 3km tunnel stretch. In all the Corridor Vc project calls for the construction of a 330km highway. The Bosnian motorway company, Autoceste Federacije BiH, has not so far revealed the cost of the project however.
Yanmar Holdings has completed its acquisition of Terex Compact Germany in a deal worth US$60 million. This business makes small to medium sized construction machinery in Europe formerly owned by Terex Corporation. This acquisition includes the Terex Corporation businesses carrying out the production and sale of wheel loaders, excavators and wheeled excavators, as well as the production, sales and development facilities in Crailsheim Germany and parts distribution centre in Rothenburg Germany.

Dutch construction and related services group Royal BAM posted improved half-year results, despite Britain’s decision to leave the European Union.
Half-year results to June showed pre-tax profit to €45 million, up from €4 million the previous year. However, group revenue slipped back €3.4 billion, down from around €3.5 billion.
Construction and mechanical & electrical services suffered a €23.8 million loss, blamed on poor trading in Germany. But civil engineering and property helped profitability.
Work on Indonesia’s massive Trans Kalimantan road link will commence in 2016. The planned route stretches for some 7,600km and the project will be started by the Indonesian Government. The budget for the project is still unclear. The cost of the project was estimated in 2014 at US$496.74 million.
