Volgograd authorities to allot over US$231 million for roads in 2013
The Volgograd region (South) authorities will allot over US$231 million (RUB 7bn) for roads in 2013. A total of $82.64 million will be provided for construction, about $92.56 million for repairing and maintaining regional road facilities.

The Volgograd region (South) authorities will allot over US$231 million (RUB 7bn) for roads in 2013. A total of $82.64 million will be provided for construction, about $92.56 million for repairing and maintaining regional road facilities.
The Indian government has signed a pact with Asian Development Bank (ADB) for loans worth US$ 275 million, as part of its nationwide Rural Connectivity Investment Programme. The loan is the second tranche of the $800 million financing facility set aside for the project, and will be used to finance works of constructing 3,693km of rural roads in five Indian states such as West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Assam. Transport for London (TfL) is to fund a second phase of repairs to the structure’s badly corroded arches due to start in October 2013. The flyover was shut to all traffic just before Christmas 2011 to allow initial emergency arch repairs – leading to huge traffic chaos in west London – before being partially reopened a few weeks later.
