342 Topcon Europe has introduced a new series of affordable lasers and levels under its new 2LS brand to bridge the gap between do-it-yourself lasers and industrial quality lasers and surveying instruments used on large construction and civil engineering projects.
Four new models are available under the 2LS brand – Orion automatic levels, Gemini series interior lasers, Leo series of line lasers and the Taurus rotating laser system. Topcon says the new models are suitable for house building, concrete forming, dry wall and ceiling installations.
Ammann is launching an extended range of lightweight tandem rollers, badged the ARX models. The range includes 13 models from 1.5-4.5tonnes and working widths from 820–1380mm, to replace the AVM-2 range later this year.
Topcon and Komatsu are gearing up their long running partnership to a new level, and which will be implemented on a global basis. Although the firms have been co-operating internationally for some years, this partnership has been particularly active in the European market for machine control technology. Under the terms of the deal, customers will be able to order Komatsu machines that are factory-fitted with Topcon technology. Sensors will be fitted in the hydraulic rams of bulldozers, graders and excavator
