The Austrian group 945 Strabag has been awarded a two-year contract worth €34.6mn for the modernisation of a 48km stretch of the national road M2 in the Republic of Moldova. The upgrade route runs between Ghindesti and Drochia.
Austrian construction firm STRABAG has won a major road contract from Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Highways (GDDKiA). The deal is for the construction of a 40km section of the S8 Expressway between Walichnowy and Sieradz Poùudnie, some 240km to the south west of capital Warsaw.
A consortium consisting of Heilit+Woerner (a subsidiary of Austrian company Strabag) and Budimex, has signed the contract to build a section of the S5 expressway between Poznań and Wrocław, Poland, with a gross value of about €138 million.
Astaldi, a global construction company based in Rome, has won a contract worth nearly €222 million for construction of Poland’s S7 dual carriageway between Naprawa and Skomielna Biala.
The contract, awarded by the Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), includes construction of a 2km tunnel under the Lubon Maly massif, 38 bridges and viaducts and three motorway services. There will also be 25km of access roads and two junctions.
