Serbia invests in roads and bridges

Serbia should invest €1.5 billion a year over the next 20 years in order to finish all capital projects, which include road and railway Corridor 10, Corridor 11, the Danube (water) Corridor 7 and bridges in Novi Sad and Belgrade. Investments of €22 billion in infrastructure are planned in the next 17 years.

    Serbian vice president Zorana Mihajlovic has held talks with Li Manchang, China's Ambassador to Serbia in Serbia, for continuation of works on Belgrade’s ring road.   • Serbia tunnel project due for completion

    Works on Serbia’s Strazevica tunnel is due for completion in May 2012. The tunnel forms part of the Belgrade ring road. Serbia’s government is also planning to finish the construction of a total of 200km of the Corridor 10 motorway, following the completion of the Strazevica–Bubanj and Batajnica–Dobanovci sections. Work on the remaining 130km will commence soon. Meanwhile, work on the Ljig–Preljina section of Corridor 11 is now underway.
