1201 IRF Geneva has carried out a successful webinar on World Road Statistics for Beginners - Techniques and Methods. Participants from all over the world joined in to the key messages and techniques from this webinar. This addressed the core characteristics of raw data brought together in the annual World Road Statistics report, which is one of IRF’s flagship projects. Published since 1964, this publication remains the single comprehensive source of data for the international road, traffic and transport sectors. The main questions addressed during the webinar included: Why collecting and analysis data is key; the statistics and econometric techniques to identify and fit road and transport data; modelling methods. Throughout the presentation, simple methodologies, elementary econometric techniques and examples were introduced to help the webinar participants understand the key elements to consider when analysing data. Component specialist BLS Enterprises is offering a durable replacement track pad for use on Wirtgen milling machines. President Barry Stoughton said, “We have a direct replacement for the EPS system.” He said that this two part pad system allows the pad to bolt directly onto the track. Long life and durability are claimed, as well as ease of replacement.
Haver & Boecker is expanding its screen range with the addition of the Ty-Wire hybrid screen deck and of ultrasound screen decks. Ty-Wire hybrid screens use wire that is covered in polyurethane, providing a greater open area than a standard PU screen but with a lifetime that can be 4-6 times longer.
ATS’ polyurethane wire mesh screens for industrial screenings are said to offer a wide range of advantages including long service life; easy handling; less pegging and blinding; and high screening performance with perfect undersize calibration during the screen’s working lifetime.
