The recent 244 Intertraffic road traffic technology exhibition in Amsterdam reached record proportions for its 20th edition. This is the world's leading event in the field of infrastructure, ITS traffic management, safety and parking while a new segment covered co-operative systems and was well received. Some 806 exhibitors from 45 countries presented their latest products and services to a global audience of traffic professionals. Visitors from 114 countries attended and after four days, a grand total of 24,985 attendees were registered. "The fact that Intertraffic is truly international goes to show not only in this significant number of countries represented but also in the international share of both visitors and exhibitors," said Amsterdam RAI Product Manager Mariska Dreschler. "The share of visitors from outside the Netherlands has increased from 62% at Intertraffic 2008 to 63.5% this edition. On an exhibitor level 84% comes from abroad."
