The international 3485 CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction industries exhibition captured the lead spot in the just-released “Top 250” trade show ranking of North American-based expositions.

The Trade Show News Network (TSSN) compiles the annual list, based on net square feet of exhibit space.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014 - held every three years in Las Vegas and lastly in 2014 - won the top ranking for its record show space of more than 2.35 million net square feet.

“We are honoured to receive this recognition,” said Megan Tanel, vice president exhibitions and events for 1100 Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

“CONEXPO-CON/AGG could not have achieved the number-one spot without the support of our membership and the industry and their affirmation of our value and return on participation for all stakeholders.”

Tanel said all AEM shows are industry-run. “We believe this creates a positive difference in our stakeholder relationships. We share a common vision of elevating and advancing our industry.”

The co-located 8064 IFPE 2014 exhibition (International Fluid Power, Power Transmission) also broke show space records, making the top-show list at number 135. IFPE focuses on integration of fluid power with other technologies for power transmission and motion control applications.

TSNN is an online news and information resource for the trade show, exhibition and event industry.

“For our next CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE, in 2017, we are intensifying our exhibitor and attendee engagement efforts and will offer even more value with more products, events and programmes planned,” she said.
