The German province of Baden- Württemberg has issued a list of 20 ready to be built federal trunk road projects worth a combined US$1.01billion (€800mn).The first five could be started in 2014 and the next five in 2015 or 2016.
Philippines-based Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to loan the Indian government US$252 million for key road construction projects. The 25-year loan has a grace period of five years, a commitment charge of 0.15% per annum, and the interest rate will be determined on ADB’s LIBOR-based lending facility. The tender process is underway in Brazil for the BR-153 Federal Highway, a project estimated to be worth US$1.89 billion. The BR-153 Belem Brasilia Highway route measures 625km long, connecting Anapolis, in Goias state, and Alianca do Tocantins, in Tocantins State.
