The German province of Baden- Württemberg has issued a list of 20 ready to be built federal trunk road projects worth a combined US$1.01billion (€800mn).The first five could be started in 2014 and the next five in 2015 or 2016.
A new US$304.24million highway will be built in Jiangxi Province, China.The Jiangxi Provincial Expressway Investment Group is inviting tenders for the 39.29km route, while environmental impact assessment is in the process of being carried out. The new highway between Fuzhou and Jinxi will be ready for use in July 2015, with construction work due to start in July 2012.
Overall, Russia is to benefit from a major highway investment programme. The Federal Transport Development Programme will feature a budget of $21.5 billion for the 2010-2015 period.
