Construction starts on Yichang section of China’s Yichang-Yueyang expressway
Construction works have begun on the Yichang section of China’s new Yichang-Yueyang expressway. Covering 51.8km, the Yichang expressway section will cost around US$613.35 million (CNY 3.82bn).

Construction works have begun on the Yichang section of China’s new Yichang-Yueyang expressway. Covering 51.8km, the Yichang expressway section will cost around US$613.35 million (CNY 3.82bn).
Estonia’s Road Administration and infrastructure company. TREV-2 Grupp has signed a €51 million contract for construction of a new four-lane section of highway between Kose and Ardu. The work will shorten the length of the of the Tallinn-Tartu highway by around 5km. The construction is scheduled in August 2017 with completion in 2020. The new section will allow speeds of up to 120kph, according to the government.
A series of key road and highway projects will boost China’s network. A series of rural roads will be constructed in Tibet autonomous region, with the investment totalling some US$1.9 billion. The plan is to build a total of 24,157km of rural roads and the investment will be made from 2012-2013. Meanwhile work is also commencing on a new highway in Fujian Province. Mostotrest will reconstruct and build six transport infrastructure facilities in time for the 2014 G8 summit in Skolkovo, Russia. The new infrastructure comprises the southern section of the North-West backbone; a section of Kutuzovsky Avenue, three interchanges at the crossing of Skolkovskoe, Mozhayskoe Highways and Generala Dorokhova Street with MKAD; and an interchange at crossing of Aminyevskoe Highway and Generala Dorokhova Street.
Work has begun on Section II of Indonesia’s Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road. The 5.5km route is costing US$210.25 million (IDR 2.4 trillion) and Section II will have a length of 5.5km. The project by Translingkar Kita Jaya is earmarked for completion in February 2016.
