Chinese manufacturer 2490 XCMG has scored key supply deals for new construction machines within Europe. These models were launched in Europe earlier in 2012 and have now been delivered to customers within Poland. The deals are of note as XCMG is facing tough competition within Europe and have been achieved despite an overall fall in sales of construction machines into Poland. XCMG has so far supplied its Polish customers with wheeled excavators and rough terrain cranes. However the first of the firm’s brand new truck crane designed for the European market will also be delivered to a Polish customer in due course. XCMG says that 2012 is a decisive year for its export levels. The company says it is making concerted effort to achieve the export goal of US$1.6 billion, aided by expanding its sales channels and building a team of distributors.
