Bosnia project moves forward

Plans for work to a 150km section of the Corridor Vc highway in Bosnia will commence in 2012. Construction of 45km of the highway will be financed by the Government of Federal Bosnia, while the remaining 110km is due to be financed by foreign investors. The cost of the project has not been revealed at this stage. The plans were announced by Bosnia’s Ministry of Urban Planning.

  • Bosnia invests in roads and highway construction

    The Government of Federal Bosnia & Herzegovina plans to invest e5.5 billion in building roads, highways and new energy projects. To achieve this programme a new consortium will be set-up to secure part of the necessary capital, while part will be financed by strategic partners.     Bidding is strong for a road tunnel project in Bosnia Herzogovina. The expected cost of the 902m long tunnel has not so far been revealed, however the project is being financed jointly by the European Investment Bank (EIB) as well as Bosnia’s Federal Government. The tender for the project was announced by Bosnian roads company, Cesta Federacije BiH. Bids have been received from Croatian contractors Skladgradnja, Viadukt and Hidroelektra Niskogradnja.
