bauma: much machinery in Munich
This year’s 688 bauma exhibition, the 31st event, will occupy all 605,000m2 of space at the trade-fair centre in the southern German city of Munich.

Also, for the first time, companies on the waiting list for space can be listed in the bauma directory.

The largest trade fair in the world is put on every third year and will take place from April 11-17.

Companies without stand space will be included as additionally represented companies in the online exhibitor directory and will be listed under their respective product categories. They also will have access to a lounge where they can make appointments and hold meetings during the fair. They can also book other services, such as electronic press compartments or advertising alternatives.

One reason for this step is that the upcoming bauma is already booked to capacity, said ant there are waiting lists for several sectors, said Klaus Dittrich, chief executive of the venue, the Messe München.

"Just like in 2013, we have been unable to satisfy all the requests for space or for increases in space," she said.

“Naturally, we do everything we can to allow as many companies as possible to participate in the fair. Unfortunately, it has reached its maximum capacity with regard to space. But we want to give companies that we have been unable to accommodate in the past an opportunity to call the bauma community's attention to themselves and their products and to make contacts during the fair."

So far, 17 companies have signed to be part of the bauma 2016 digital network. For additional information about this new service, contact the bauma Exhibition Group by telephone (+49 89 949 202 65) or by e-mail at [email protected].
