Poland place Via Carpatia on list of priorities

The Polish government has put the planned 570km Via Carpatia – Expressway S19 – on a priority list and wants it finished by 2023. The government also increased the budget for building roads by €6.7 billion to €32.1 billion. The announcements are part of the National Road Construction Programme (PBDK).
Lane picks up Florida SR408 widening project in Orange County

Lane Construction Corporation has won a US$76 million contract to widen a section of State Road 408 in Orange County, Florida.The project entails adding a thirds lane to each carriageway over a 5.2km stretch of SR408. It will also involve widening a ramp from two lanes to three lanes, adding sound walls as well as extra open road tolling - ORT - lanes.

New elevated expressways will improve transport in Bangladesh. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is providing US$1.2 billion in financing for the new Dhaka-Northwest international project. This will be managed by the country’s Roads and Highways Department under the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry's Road Transport and Highways Division.

Argentina is planning a series of road projects stretching for a total of 5,500km and worth US$4.12 billion in all over four years. These will be PPP projects and include eight key road corridors, with 1,300km of the routes being multi-lane highways. The routes include Ruta 3 to Bahia Blanca, Ruta 5 to Santa Rosa, Ruta 7 to Mendoza, Ruta 8 to Villa Mercedes, Ruta 9 to Cordoba, Ruta 19 in Santa Fe and Cordoba, Ruta 34 from Rufino-Rosario and Ruta 226 from Rosario-Ceres. India tollway deal plus work for roads, bridges and tunnels

A 21-year concession deal has been agreed for the widening project for a 114km stretch of road linking Gujarat and Rajasthan states in India. The route will be widened to six lanes, with three in either direction. The project financing is worth over US$226 million, with a group of lenders having agreed the terms for the project with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
