Brazilian road works package for highways

A series of highway improvement works will be carried out in Brazil. The US$521.2 million budget will help to develop transport links in the country. The budget for the work has been set by the Brazilian Government. The various highway works will be targeted on key highway routes that carry heavy truck traffic.
Major road improvements for Western Australia

A series of major road improvement projects are to be carried out on key routes in Western Australia. In all US$1.07 billion (A$1.52 billion) is being budgeted for the work to eight important road sections in the state. The Tonking Highway will benefit from improvements to three sections. Paraguay’s key road widening works commencing

Widening work is planned for Route 2 and Route 7 in Paraguay. These highway stretches play important transport roles for the country, linking with capital Asuncion and also connecting the Eastern and Western borders of the country with neighbouring Argentina and Brazil. An increase in the budget has been made for the Ikot Ekpene-Aba-Owerri road widening project in South East Nigeria. The Hungarian Government has plant to develop the country’s key road network, with a budget of €9.85 billion having been set for upgrade works. This budget will be used from now until 2024. Upper Austria road improvements planned

Road improvements worth €141 million are planned for Upper Austria during 2019. The budget has been set by Austria’s road company, Asfinag. One of the key projects will be the upgrading work to the Voest Bridge in the city of Linz. In addition, the western ring road around Linz will also be improved. More than 80,000 drivers a day are now using the recently opened and - first ever - North Tyneside triple-deck highway junction in the northeast. Mirbud awarded ring road contract for Olesno, Poland

Mirbud has been awarded a €155 million contract to build a 25km ring road around the Polish town of Olesno. The ring-road will be part of a new S11 expressway. Other companies which competed for the contract include Strabag, Budimex, Porr and Polaqua. Olesno, with a population of around 10,000, lies about 40km from the city of Opole in southwestern Poland.
