Now owned by Volvo, Terex has launched the TA400 – a 40 tonne class ADT – and says that quality, reliability and fuel efficiency have all been improved. It is part of the Generation 10 range and features a new cab, transmission and routing of hosing. It also comes with a three-year, 3,000-hour warranty and maintenance package in North America

Manoeuvring and paving speeds are different in the North American market and VÖGELE’s range reflects this. The company takes global products and adapts them: for example, offering rubber band tracks for higher speeds or larger hoppers for highway work. VÖGELE wants to be the leader in this territory in three years – and believes that with its variety of product options and technology there is no reason why this cannot happen

Wirtgen Group brand Kleemann has developed its Mobicone MC011 Pro cone crusher, with a new design featuring a brand new continuous feed system which regulates material going into the cone itself. The engine has been moved from the top section to the lower, and is replaced by the electrics to allow operators easier access. The machine can be plugged in or run from its own power source

Well-known for its asphalt plants, Ammann also has a well-rounded line of cutting-edge light compacting machines, including four-directional and hydraulic plates. Three-shaft exciter technology means that higher moisture or clay content is not a problem, with operators able to work from silts to 3-inch aggregates – while the ACR68 and ACR60 tampers are high impact, high stroke and very stable

The 2404 is a four-track system, offering operators the chance to go to 7.5m wide along with a wraparound platform which gives wonderful visibility – and gets Power Pavers into the DBI market. The Belgium-based manufacturer of mobile aggregate equipment has come up with a crushing and screening product which can be driven by a diesel engine, a gen set or the mains. It will process 200 tonnes an hour in a gravel plant and is easy to set up and transport. A three-deck screen gives the operator three end products on the ground

VSS Macropaver has introduced its state of the art asphalt emulsion plant EP100: using a mixture of mechanical energy and chemistry it produces the asphalt emulsion used by slurry and micropaving machines on the road and takes a lot of the load off the operator

The group has two North American debuts – the SP64 paver and W120 CFi milling machine – at CONEXPO-CON/AGG. The SP64 is a multi-application machine which will break down from kerb and gutter all the way up to 25 feet, which Wirtgen Group says is unique. The 4-foot milling machine is fully integrated with Wirtgen’s control systems
