Kobelco’s improved mini excavators offer low emissions and better performance

The SK45SRX-6E and SK55SRX-6E now feature the same integrated noise and dust reduction (iNDr) technology first seen on the larger SR class of Kobelco construction machines. This dust filtration system, combined with efficient engine cooling, boosts the environmental credentials of the units, suiting the SK45SRX-6E and SK55SRX-6E to use in urban jobsites. The engine now has a diesel particulate filter (DPF) to greatly reduce PM emissions.

High-capacity travel torque enables the SK45SRX-6E and SK55SRX-6E to turn in low power mode, even when the dozer is pushing a heavy load. An automatic shift function ensures smoother travel meanwhile. The travel system will automatically shift to low mode whenever the load or climbing grades require more power. An energy conservation mode lowers fuel consumption by 23%.

The machines have short tail swing designs for operating in small spaces when working next to walls or digging close to ditches. The larger booms and arms ensure a wider working range, while low height designs allows ease of transport.
