Aimed at the 1.5tonne class, the TMX from Extend Manufacturing is said to offer 21% more digging force than similar sized competitive excavators
Extend Manufacturing has developed 2287 TMX Towable Mini-Excavators that offer high digging power in an easy-to-manoeuvre package. The TMX units suit the rental sector and feature a quick-on and quick-off hitch system, allowing them to be hooked behind a standard pick-up truck, van or light-duty tow vehicle. No trailer is needed, while lockout drive hubs allow towing at highway speeds of 100km/h Unlike conventional mini-excavators, TMX units eliminate tracks by using zero-turn technology. The tyres suit use on soft terrain, ensuring high traction and the machines feature efficient orbital motors with high-quality tapered roller bearings on the output shaft. In addition to digging power, the TMX offers a four-way blade system for efficient backfilling and grading. Power comes from a 16kW 1265 Kubota diesel while the machine features an auxiliary hydraulic circuit that can be used to drive various tools.
