Swiss firm Ziegler now runs a fleet of Volvo CE loaders
Swiss construction firm Ziegler has recently taken delivery of 30 Volvo wheeled loaders, supplied and serviced by independent 2394 Volvo dealer 3330 Robert Aebi.

In April 2015 Basel-based construction firm Ziegler replaced its entire fleet of wheeled loaders with new Volvos – a considerable investment for the company.

Ziegler workshop manager Peter Blapp said the company’s old wheeled loaders had been in action since 1999 and were no longer fit to meet new regulations coming into force. From May this year all wheeled loaders in Switzerland must contain a particle filter, even those built before 2000.

Last summer Ziegler tested wheeled loaders from several brands but only Volvo was able to deliver wheeled loaders with a functioning particle filter by the deadline, explained the company’s chief operations officer, Markus Ziegler.

Thierry Fahrni, head of marketing at dealer Robert Aebi, said that is is rare that a customer changes their entire fleet and the manufacturer at the same time. “This is a huge success for us.”
