Straightforward and reliable, the MB1500 is said to have low maintenance needs and is not fitted with a high-pressure accumulator, reducing the number of moving components it features. However the unit is equipped with Atlas Copco's StartSelect and AutoControl packages, which allow start-up and shutdown to match the application and deliver maximum percussion power despite the operating conditions respectively. The 1.5tonne MB1500 is aimed at use with carriers in the 17-29tonne class and slots into the Atlas Copco range between the 1.2tonne MB1200 and 1.7tonne MB1700.
