A new development from 255 JCB is an access platform attachment for use with the firm’s 535-140 and 535-128 model telehandlers.

This has been developed to meet growing market demand for access platform attachments that can be used on telehandlers in a range of construction duties. Designed for use in finishing work or tunnel construction for example, the platform is offered in three versions with the basic fixed unit, an extending model and one that both slews and extends. The basic fixed unit measures 1.5x2.5m, while the extending model is 1.2m wide and offers extension from 2.5-5m. The top-of-the-line version offers a 400kg capacity, 180° of slew as well as being 1.2m wide and extending from 2.5-5m. Fitted to the 535-140 telehandler the platforms provide working heights of up to 15.6m. Safety features are fitted such as a single key interlock, an interlock on the boom, hose burst protection and rear axle stabilisation for the telehandler.
