Increased output and reduce maintenance needs are key features of the new generation compact track loaders from New Holland

5895 New Holland’s 200 Series compact track loaders and skid steer loaders will now benefit from Tier 4 Final compliant engines. The next generation models of skid steer and compact track loaders maintains the same compact dimensions of the previous variants while delivering more power and torque than before.

The improved skid steer loaders offer greater productivity, torque and fuel economy, while the new radial-lift Tier 4 Final L216 skid steer loader is said to provide best-in-class peak torque. Meanwhile the upgraded large-frame line-up delivers more performance in a fuel-efficient, compact design. Other improvements include advanced auxiliary hydraulics for greater versatility and hydraulic power and better all-round visibility and serviceability.

The two mid-size models of the skid steer loader range feature a diesel oxidation catalyst-only solution that delivers considerable benefits in fuel saving, performance and maintenance convenience. The L220 model gets tougher with a four-cylinder, turbocharged 50kW engine which delivers a 12% increase of horsepower and it is tuned for a robust 22% boost in peak torque to 208Nm and a rated operating capacity of 905kg. The Tier 4 Final L218 model remains at 44.7kW but with a 7% increase in peak torque to 183Nm and a 818kg operating capacity.

The L218 and the L220 skid steer loaders incorporate the fuel-efficient high pressure common rail (HPCR) injection design typically used in larger construction equipment. Both models also feature the electronic engine control which provides superior engine efficiency and enhanced responsiveness to operator commands. The New Holland mid-frame line-up also includes the C227 compact track loaders which are powered by a 55kW, turbocharged FPT Industrial engine complying with Tier 4 Interim emissions standards.
