The new U48-4, U55-4 and KX057-4 models are said to provide increased boom lifting force as well as other performance upgrades.

The U48-4 zero tail swing excavator offers 4.7tonnes of lifting power and can work in confined spaces, while the Kubota U55-4 tight tail swing machine offers 5.4tonnes of lifting power, as well as high stability. The Kubota KX057-4 has a lifting capacity of 5.5tonnes and a maximum dig depth of 3.9m.

The machines also have better visibility, load-sensing hydraulics, improved fuel economy, as well as an auto-shift system, and the engines have a fuel-saving auto-idle function and can all be serviced from one side.

Like other Kubota mini excavators, the Dash 4s are fitted with a key-based anti-theft system as standard.
